  1.  @kingarthur83rd  Please remember that the US is a chaotic, poorly corralled and barely united collection of fifty states. Heck, two of them even refuse to be geographically connected! (that was a joke there) Most states have some sort of minimum safety and emissions standards to be able to legally put and keep a car on the road. Some states are more stringent than others. That unopenable driver's door would be a fail in my state, as would the failed windshield washer pump. Cars also get a "are there loose or broken front suspension parts" check as part of the inspection in my state. Plus things like worn wipers, not enough tire tread, missing or broken seatbelts, broken or missing windows, and holes in body panels. - Florida is kind of a dump as far as car safety and protection goes. They don't even have a lemon law for used cars, which leads to a lot of "fun" in some of Ray's videos.
