  1. Another concern with that lift cable is that when it parts while lifting a vehicle, it will drop to a lock. This could result in a poorly balanced vehicle coming off the lift arms, but it will also leave the vehicle 'stranded' on the locks without a good way to get it up enough to let it back down.
