At least Justice League had characters for whom there was at least a general awareness. - You would think Mickey Marvel would have learned from the tepid response to the Inhumans show, which had a (short) season to develop characters, had fewer of them, and still left a lot of people saying, "Meh." I watched the Inhumans series over three days, and there were characters for whom I still no bleeps about. The king who can't talk without killing people? blech. The queen with hair-based "superpowers" who gets shaved bald? yawn. Sabrina the teenage lightning bender? bland. The giant teleporting dog was more sympathetic than most of the named characters. - This Eternals group probably works okay in a comic format, where they can devote huge chunks of storytelling to establish each character. But like you said, to jam all ten into a single movie? Even at 3 hours, that's an average of 18 minutes per character, if they do NOTHING except introductions.
