  18. My only concern with this student loan forgiveness program is that it does not address the root cause of student debt. Easy access to loans. Easy access to student loans prompted colleges and universities to raise their prices many, many times the rate of inflation because they KNEW that the government would still help people get loans to pay for it. So what if that money went to new buildings when the previous ones were still enough. Or sports stadiums. Or pay raises for the top administrators. Or massive ad campaigns. Or elaborate landscaping. Or...
