My biggest beef with most recent documentaries is the pattern established around commercial breaks where, just before the break they tease "Coming next" and after the break they use 3-5 of the next 11:30 to recap what we just saw in the previous 11:30 segment. - I call it "fluffing for time" and it really irks me.

@PhilippensTube I agree. I gave up on the formerly educational channels once shows like "What on Earth" became a thing, and that was after a serious erosion of my enthusiasm with the rise of reality shows like "Ice Road Truckers", "The Deadliest Catch" and those gold mining shows. After a season or less, we've pretty much seen what we need, then it becomes a scripted drama about people arguing.
