  1. I can remember when Time magazine was the gold standard for news magazines. Quality journalism is fading. Thank goodness we have talented amateurs online. The hard part is finding them amongst the legions of bad, biased, and banal.

  2.  @SnailHatan  I am over 5 decades old. I DO remember when Time was high quality journalism. I remember when the news was just the facts, without the factional editorializing and politicizing. (well, there was rampant pro-Americanism...)

  3. OMG! I love the phrase "helmet ball" (to differentiate from what the rest of the world calls football) and will use it myself.
