  2. For the orange and mandarin slices, were the slices' membranes intact? That may have been the issue. Maybe either slice the sliced in half, or peel off the membrane and try again? - On the grapes, Nate at Narroway cut the grapes in half, and they still got only mostly dehydrated. - edit: On the candy front, one of Nate's favorites, freeze-dried, is Bit-o-Honey.
