  1. Those exist also. They advertise on the basis that you only need to drill a small hole in the wall to pass the coolant lines inside where they mount the cooling unit on the wall.

  2. Or, you could buy the one with two hoses, get friends and coworkers to avoid the one-hose units, and maybe the stores will see the change in sales and start stocking more two-hose units? I have never seen the attraction of portable AC units. Until this video, I had no idea they even used a hose to vent the hotter air outside (sales sites hide that like they hide cords on power tools) and window units just keep getting lighter and more efficient. And cheaper.
