  4. The only time I owned an electric kettle is when I was doing a lot of LARPing, and we were at campgrounds with a few wall plugs but no kitchen available for our use. So the kettle was used to heat water for oatmeal, ramen, tea, instant coffee, etc. and mixing with cold tap water in a basin for washing dishes, hands and faces (not at the same time).
