Now to watch the video. - So the big humidifier could be "fixed" by the manufacturer putting a simple adhesive film on the display, and a redesigned air path conduit to prevent the water level and the bottom of the vent being so close to each other. - I had a no-name brand like the Vicks evaporator, and if you look in the black tube, there are two separate electrodes there which is why it only works when it is submerged. It is kind of a good feature in that it doesn't run on a dry tank like the VERY old ones I remember from the 1070's. But after long enough, those electrodes start to accumulate scale and wear. I got rid of mine because it had a similarly hard-to-clean water tank. - Saying "Menard's" is never not funny to me.
