  1.  @christo930  The are "ductless" systems that only need small holes drilled through the wall to pass the cooling/heating pipes. Sure, gas is cheaper for many people... right now.

  2. So, the "heat pump dryer" may not need ducting, but it will need a drain. Either manually emptying a tank, or running an outlet pipe/hose.
