Some of what they showed as being mean is not mean such as someone telling those attacking Bernie what they are doing is "shameless" or "F off" or "your should be fired" if they can't take that kind of criticism they need to get off of National TV. To tell someone they should die or wishing other physical harm on them that is what's mean and uncalled for! Like you said all candidate supporters do it. Unless I missed it you left out Yang supporters LOL I know of some pretty nasty comments they have made to other candidate supporters. If it seems worse with Bernie supporters it's because he has a lot more supporters than most of them!
