I've had dogs for many years. Only one do I absolutely know would defend us as she did just that a couple times. My other dogs there was never a situation in our home for me to know. I am sure if I was not there my dog would let them help themselves to whatever LOL I hope if someone was coming after ME they would protect me. Now, our car that's a whole different thing for one dog I had. Not the one that I said had defended us but another one. We were at an amusement park and it was winter where I knew it was cold enough for the windows to be almost all the way up. My husband just happen to go to check on her at the same time someone was approaching our car. When they got to the door my dog POPPED UP snarled and he liked to had fell on the pavement before he ran away.
