All that's left is free rides to the moon LOL I totally disagree with workers paying taxes to give money to people that don't work so I won't vote for him. It's good you can accept a difference of opinion. A lot of Yang supporters can't. Agree to disagree.

  7.  @jakes2872  I didn't get a notification of your reply so just now see it but Yang should had ran for local office first built up a political record so people could know what he is really all about! If he was as sure of his policies as everyone said from the start he wouldn't had needed to change any of them. He should had all of that figured out before he decided to run. There is a lot of information out there both for and against Yang's policies. Everyone reads it and decides which ones they think it the better argument. I am just glad when people can be civil LOL when they disagree so that's good we were. Take care! Oh, who do you think Amazon is going to pass that along to the money to cover the dividend?

It's taken years to even have a chance for Medicare for all which I agree with because no one should die because of not having the money for health care and that helps keep them working but I'm not in support at all of free money for people to not have to work for off the backs of people that are working for what they have!

One of them was from a home his wife inherited and sold to get their third home. I am for M4A because no one should be die because they don't have the money for health care and it helps keep them able to work but as far as just passing out money that people don't have to work for off the backs of people working for their money, no, I'm not for that. I've seen parents that have neglected their children spending money on their alcohol, cigarettes or drugs to ever be for UBI. There is programs for the poor that I am for because I do believe they have to show a need for it. I've also known adults that would take their friends children with them to churches for help claiming it's their children. I know not everyone would take advantage but too many do!

  21.  @David-yp9oz  LOL Oh, thats a good one after knowing husbands that took their wife's money and gambled it, parents neglecting what their kids needs to buy more of what they don't need, and adults on drugs never working a day in their life, dads taking the money for alcohol, etc. No study on earth would convince me that people wouldn't spend UBI on those things! If someone works for their money I don't care what they spend it on except for the ones neglecting what their families need! I've even known of adults taking friends children to churches pretending it's their children to get more help. Not sure what kind of studies Yang did maybe friends of his LOL Sure, not everyone would do those things but enough would and I still don't believe in giving able bodied money they are not working for it and I don't believe in giving it to wealthy people, either! Adding, I've worked a lot with helping people for years is how I KNOW those things!

I saw it when I first got notifications on it but then when I went to it was gone. You should watch the debate in the link I posted on this thread to David to at least be aware of the pros and cons. The one for it made me more against it LOL

  23.  Michael Johnson  All things considered including I believe UBI would cause more harm than good I want my tax dollars to go to Medicare for all, expanding existing social programs, not to hand out money to people that won't work for it and the debate I posted regardless if you think the Conservative (some say Libertarian) is the correct one that is for UBI, IMO the progressive gave the greater argument against UBI! Along with the other links I've posted I am a firm no! Yang should had ran for local office first building up a record on issues so people could know what he is REALLY all about instead of coming out of nowhere (meaning no political record) running for president which in addition to my being against UBI gives me a great distrust of him. It's money you would not get no matter who you work for, no matter what you contribute to, no matter what charity work you do or anything else and no matter after you would get UBI if you still did those things or not or if you sat in front of a TV set all day you wouldn't have to do anything for that $1,000 dollars a month will be based on none of the things you said. Now, go try to spin it to someone else.

  30.  @Wamsuo58u  I'm pretty sure now having worked with helping others for years that a lot of people will take whatever money they have and spend it on alcohol and/or drugs and/or cigarettes, or other unnecessary items before they would on the things they really need. I'm all for housing assistance, helping get jobs, food stamps, even Medicare for all which helps people stay healthy to work, but not putting free money into the hands of people that don't work for it off the backs of the people that are working for it. If someone earns their money let them spend it however they want to! I know there are other people that would spend the money wisely but they should still have to earn the money or if they show they need help let them get help with the programs we have now. If that's not good enough increase food stamps, unemployment for people trying to find jobs.

(sarcasm) I'm not against some of what Yang wants that you mentioned but all things considered over all I believe Yang's policies would do more harm than good. There is a lot of information out there on both sides of the argument so we can all decide for ourself which we believe to be the more creditable one but bottom line for me is I don't go along with free money for everyone that would not have to earn it or to cut any of the jobs Yang mentioned or to bring more automation here many years sooner than some of it would be. That's not to say I don't know there is automation now but it's no where near to the point that some are making it out to be. When it comes to Yang, just have to agree to disagree!

I don't mean this to be rude but people that can't afford children shouldn't have them! If they have the incomes to have children and then something happens to their incomes they can't help that's different but couples that know they don't have the money for children shouldn't have them! There is food stamps and I would be all for expanding those and that would feed hungry children. Just not handing out free money to them. Yes, there is abuse of the system now but it would be worse just handing out free money to everyone and again it's off the backs of people working for theirs! A lot of people working don't mind helping the way I mentioned but do mind just handing out free money. Yes, UBI is still poverty level but a lot of people will blow whatever money they have. I know not everyone would but a lot of people would. I sure wouldn't feel right being handed free money knowing others are working for theirs. You made some good points but those points would only make me want to increase food stamps, housing assistance, but more money on top of whatever welfare gives them now and to not even have to show they need it, or work for it, no, I'm not for that.
