Senator Sanders has gone against both parties at times. He voted against the Patriot Act that took some of our freedoms away while most politicians on both sides voted for it, just to name one example. But, I will name one more, when he went against Obama's proposed social security cuts that had most politicians on board Bernie started a movement that helped stop those cuts!

@fortunateson2 Bernie has only been arrested for fighting for civil rights, stood with Native Americans and Union Workers in peaceful demonstrations, voted against the Patriot Act that took some of our freedoms away that no doubt you praise some of them that voted for it, started a movement to help stop Obama's proposed Social Security cuts that had most politicians on board, took people to Canada to buy meds cheaper, and more while you Mr Hyde or is it Dr. Jekyll have done exactly what???

@fortunateson2 That's pathetic you would call someone "useless" that has done that much for others. As a combat vet do you praise the Republicans that joined with some Dems in voting for the Patriot Act that took some of our freedoms away? That Bernie voted against. I wouldn't doubt that you do or you wouldn't smear Bernie like you did. Bernie has done more than what I wrote in my previous comment! He was known as The Amendment King which is just as important to passing bills because those Amendments is what helps many bills pass. ALSO, there is a former Republican Congressman that said, "Bernie's got more done than he's been given credit for"! You can hear him say it yourself on youtube video title "Former Republican Praises Bernie Sanders For Effective Legislating & Humility"! But I doubt you would want to hear that because if you were interested in the truth about politicians and their records including their voting records you would already know that. I have several Veterans in my family, too, but thankfully they don't try to lie or smear about others even if they disagree with them.

@fortunateson2 I said what he's actually done but you didn't like that obviously! He didn't become a Millionaire until recent years and he still has a lot less than most politicians have and he sure as heck didn't get his money off of Wall Street or Big Pharma! I get it! The truth hurts otherwise you wouldn't had reacted like you did. Thank God while I was a Republican that I didn't turn deaf ears or blind eyes to the truth when I saw it! I never have been a Dem and I didn't become one after leaving the Republican party. I am an Independent that doesn't turn away truth just because I don't like it and your abbreviations for foul language doesn't bother me in the least, either!

@americanpatriot3746 Bernie does not incite his supporters to do violence! If they do they really aren't a supporter of his! Unlike Trump that has out of his own mouth incite his supporters to violence. There are people on both sides that are violent people. I don't support anyone harming other people unless it's in self defense, period. I am not a Biden or a Trump supporter. Never been a Dem! Trump did a terrible job at lowering drug prices, otherwise, they wouldn't still be so costly.

@americanpatriot3746 You didn't use the words Bernie incites violence but you sure as heck seemed to be implying it with you being so focused on what his alleged supporters have done! Seriously, you don't know the kind of Revolution Bernie wants/wanted? If you knew anything about his record you would know it's for progressive policies NOT for violence and NOT for communism! Why are you insisting on talking about people that allege to be Bernie supporters and not any Republican supporters that have tried or actually harmed others? I find that really interesting! I wrote in this thread about Bernie voted against the Patriot Act that took some of our freedoms away that many other politicians on both sides voted for but you seem so one sided like you don't care about any truths that doesn't fit on how you want to see things! Policies that countries like Canada and Australia have had for many years that Bernie wants here are not communistic policies anymore than they are communistic countries! That's the kind of revolution Bernie has made crystal clear he wants is the policies countries like Canada and Australia have he wants here! I never saw Aussies out in the streets trying to stop or reverse their Medicare for all but they sure are out in huge numbers against the vaccination mandates. Very easy to see the DIFFERENCES in what heads countries towards communism and what doesn't. You do know there are more drugs that are life saving drugs other than just Insulin? Although that is one very urgent drug people need there is also others and I think the lives of people are just as important if they need Insulin or another drug for another life threatening medical condition. Bernie took people to Canada to get Insulin cheaper there so he's been fighting for cheaper meds, Medicare for all, here for many years before they even started talking about it here. If I am going to support a candidate or politician I am going to know exactly what that means, what their record is including their voting record, what policies they are for/against. Not all supporters follow a politician or candidate for those reasons so if people follow someone while trying to go in a different direction that is not on the politician or candidate! You think it's two different things Dems and Republicans and while on a few things there is but most in both parties vote for the same things, more money for more wars, Corp welfare, The Patriot Act, supported by the same Corp donors, etc.

What I was saying that you didn't seem to get is that anyone can say they support someone that doesn't mean they really do because if they really did support that person they wouldn't go against what the candidate stands for! Just like someone could say they are a Trump supporter just for the sake of trying to cause trouble for him to make him look bad. I could go on and on about the violence that has been done in the name of Trump especially since Trump out of his own mouth does incite violence but I didn't want to go down that road because my posts were about what Bernie has done, his record, what he stands for, what he is for/against. I don't blame someone for what others do UNLESS they incite it! Bernie is not about all the things you wrote and he has made it clear exactly what he is for/against! The only comment that Bernie made when it came to Castro was something about them being able to read and write. Well, guess you think that's a bad thing. Bernie wasn't saying that he supported any of the bad policies Castro supports. You are just like the rest that takes something out of context or smearing him. I SAW enough of the actual events regarding the violence at the Capitol. I am not a Pelosi supporter as I told you I am not a Dem. I've made it clear that I know there is violence on both sides and I don't condone it on either side. I see too many Dems talking about the violence Republicans cause and too many Republicans talking about the violence Dems cause instead of calling it wrong on both sides. I really don't know why you keep going on with something that had nothing to do with the points I was making. I only pointed out about the mandates because that is what is leading to communism and not the policies Bernie has been fighting for. Trump talked about how he and Kim Jong-un wrote beautiful letters, how they fell in love. It's Trump's words. So does that mean Trump supports all of his bad policies? He even said Kim Jong-un was "very honorable"! Now, we have both gone in directions that my posts were not intended to go off on so that's it for me for lack of time but I do appreciate the civil discussion and I am also very much against the mandates so really don't need to take up so much time on the parts we agree on. I am sorry that you got sick but good to know you recovered.

@americanpatriot3746 I will add I haven't listened to the major news media for years except when on Y T there is an interview of someone I want to listen to and I pay attention to what politicians and candidates say and their actual record, especially their voting records, not what someone else says that they said. I don't know how some people are able to put up links as I can't but one of the titles of one video is "He wrote me beautiful letters and we fell in love": Donald Trump on Kim Jong-un, you should be able to find by putting that in the search field. It is on the "Guardian News" channel. I won't take time to find the other quote that Trump said about him being "very honorable" but it's out there, too. My point is you can take anything someone says such as you mentioned something about Bernie being for all of Castro's policies when he only focused on one of them that's not a bad thing, so if we want to take something he says out of context we can talk about what others have said that doesn't sound good that is suppose to be to the opposite of Bernie. I don't have that much time to spend on social media and add to that I type slow LOL so I really try to stick just to certain topics and will still end up getting longer than I wanted or that I had time for.
