  5. I've been saying Yang's a Libertarian, too! Ever since I watched the UBI debate on youtube and saw Jared Bernstein the progressive AGAINST UBI and the conservative, some think he is a Libertarian that is for UBI. After watching that I realized Yang is a Libertarian.

According to MyNorthwest.com, not only have many of the businesses who opposed the increase seen higher employment numbers, some are even opening additional locations. In 2014, a study by the Center for Economic and Policy Research found that the 13 states that increased the minimum wage saw employment numbers increase faster than states that did not, an average of 0.85 percent compared to 0.61 percent in the other 37 states.   10.  @torrok0118  People getting SSI disability are suppose to not be able to work. If they are lying they shouldn't be on it in the first place! Some cases, I agree that existing welfare programs encourages them to not work. What do you think UBI would do? LOL And yes, I've worked with enough people to know many of them that get free cash put in their hands would take the money and gamble it or spend it on alcohol and/or drugs instead of spending it on their families so that's why cash like programs are better such as housing assistance and food stamps. Some people abuse food stamps, too, but it's illegal and they could end up going to jail if they are selling them for cash. Like I said before I'm not on welfare but I know people that are and they won't opt out for UBI even though no doubt some would but it's pure speculation for Yang to say how many will.

  13. That was one of my first reasons for not being for Yang! He comes out of nowhere trying to buy votes with no political record to show he would do anything he says AND lacking in experience that it takes in all the DIFFERENT areas to run a country! Then I started researching and just found out more reasons why I would not be for his policies not to mention the flip flops he has done where no one can know that he won't go back to his original positions!

First Yang said no to getting both UBI AND SSA and I have the link to the video where he said it but then he realizes that was getting him less votes so he changed it for SSA but last I heard if it's SSI or other welfare programs people have to choose!?
