@Sedna063 What rule is broken exactly? I'm not ridiculing you at all. Something cannot come into existence from nothing. You cannot say God came into existence from nothing, because God did not *come into existence, he always existed. Big difference. Nothing hypocritical about it.

@Sedna063 God always existing does not contradict "Something that began to exist cannot come from nothing.". Because God never began to exist, he always existed. Now you are saying what if the universe always existed. Well the universe did not always exist, according to the Big Bang Theory. But even if the universe always existed it still must depend on something else, because the universe is not independent.

@Sedna063 You really haven't pointed out the irony. Don't we go off about what we do know? Scientists know that the universe had a beginning, so that destroys your notion.

@Sedna063 We say God always existed so he didn't come from something. The universe however did not always exist. So it must depend on something else. And that someting else must be independent and therefore what we call God.

@Sedna063 When did I say "everything needs a cause"? I said everything >>that began to exist<< cannot come from something i.e. needs a cause. That part clearly went right over your head. Try to read carefully next time. So instead of going off what we do know about the universe (that it had a beginning), you go off what science might discover in the future. That is a way bigger leap of faith than believing that the universe had a creator.
