Its just miles per unit energy, a standard burrito worth of calories is probably the hardest part of the entire process because that gives you miles per Calorie which is 1000 calories (a base unit that is equal to 4.81J and Joules are universal) You also gotta figure out the efficiency of food in to exercise out, ask a nutritionist that one.

  3. I'm a fan of bikes on the sidewalk (separate from people if it is busy enough to cause any safety concerns) and give them a cross walk button just like everyone else. In terms of collision damage potential a biker is far closer to a pedestrian than a car so they should be treated as such and not as a 2 ton steel box of safety. (A car is safe to be in but not necessarily around, i hope that makes sense)
