@ingloriuspumpkinpie9367 it’s in fact been brotherly help… to Germans. Because the party that wanted to, say, “make things straight” in Czechoslovakia was DDR. However, the USSR leadership thought it would not be proper to have German tanks on the streets of Prague once again. So they sent their own troops instead. So now we shielded the Germans from Czechs hating on them. In the parallel universe, the Czech would curse Germany for 1968 now. Well… actually, no. They would still find a way to pin it on Russians. It’s so easy to be hating on Russians in Europe now. Especially in Eastern Europe.
