@ashurafreedan Who would Euro countries even fight? Russia? But Russia is not going to attack EU, it would be a suicide, also Russia never even threatened EU or anything, if not as a reaction to EU's hostile actions. China? They would never attack one of their main markets. The US? As crazy as it may sound, it's probably more likely than the previous 2 variants, but still very unlikely. I'd say the enemy withing Europe is much more deadly than any potential enemies outside.

That's probably the most far-fetched (to put it VERY lightly) take I've heard about this war. Hope it's a joke. I could say the same about the Ukraine: the French, the American, the Brazilian, the Polish fight for them while Ukrainians chug up martinis in Berlin. It would be just as preposterous.

Ok, let's sort out what you've written. People who are betraying their own country and side with the enemy would be "cancelled" in any country, don't you think? Putin or not Putin. But these people are NOT "most popular Russian musicians". They are mostly Soviet or 1990s "stars". Shevchuk, for instance, has long been past his pinnacle in both popularity and creativity. He used to be a good musician once though, even went to Chechnya to play for Russian soldiers.

Mate, I AM A UKRAINIAN. about 3/4 of my ancestors come from the Ukraine, I grew up around Ukrainian-speaking people, I have plenty of relatives and friends in the Ukraine and I've been there for dozens of times. I've even lived there. Russia took up the biggest quantity of Ukrainian refugees since the beginning of the war among all countries in the world. There are millions of Ukrainians who live in Russia, many of them fight in the Russian army. Why do you think we all would support our country if the war was about "killing Ukrainians"? Why would ethnic Ukrainians from the east of the country would fight for Russia against the Ukraine, do we all have a death wish and want to be killed, or what? It's not XX century, Russia is not the Third Reich or Israel, and it's not carrying out a genocide. As for Shevchuk — he personally cannot be called an enemy, although speaking about "the revolution" in the times of war is a very bad move. You may evaluate this person's morals if he approves of revolutions. Every revolutionary is a son of a pig by default. Oxxymiron - yes. He collected money for the Ukrainian army and called for splitting Russia into smaller states. He is an enemy. It's sad because I love his pre-war tracks and he is overall a very talented person. Alas talented does not equal smart or a good person. Oh, there are a lot of people who do not endorse the war and are Russian patriots. There are even more who think that Putin is a bastard and still are Russian patriots (I am one of them). You see, this people do not praise the Ukraine or help their army, not do they wish death and destruction to their own country (as many of so-called "liberal dissidents" in Russia do). Nope, there's nothing like North Korea. It's a totalitarian regime. Modern "Russian Federation" is a Latin America-style authoritarian state.

@aleksklochko Yes, I do. I am Russian and I work with volunteers for the frontlines. Conscripts can only participate in the war if they willingly sing up for a special contract, their training takes many months, and they serve in the rear guard for extra several months before they will be able to go to the frontline. Of course, with the war like that, one can be hit many miles away from the frontline, but this does not deny the fact that the person above is LYING (knowingly or otherwise): there are no "hastily trained Russian conscripts who don't want to be there", it's not 1995 and it's not Chechnya.
