  1. Unfortunately, Mr. Kagan seems to be using only Ukrainian sources. The truth is: - Ukrainians are taking heavy losses, but not Russians. The ratio of casualties of Russians and Ukrainians is 1:5 to 1:16 (different independent sources); - Ukrainians are not fighting like lions. In any form of open warfare Russian troops overcome the Ukrainian army. Ukrainians only keep the cities they keep because they are hiding their troops, artillery and machinery among civilians, and the Russian army is reluctant to subject the cities to heavy bombing preferring to block them instead; - Ukrainians are not defending their homes, neither do Russians fight to take Ukrainians' homes from them. If you look at the cities under Russian control — nobody is forced out of their homes, Russian soldiers feed people and give them water, they tend to their wounds, and in fact tens and hunderds of thousands of Ukrainians have fled the war-torn cities for RUSSIA. It should be speaking for itself; - Ukrainian army is using all kinds of condemned and despicable means of waging war. They are using their own people as cannon fodder to then show dead "civilians" (ARMED civilians) to journalists and condemn "Russian atrocities". They are ready to ruin their own cities (that Russians don't want to ruin). They publish phone numbers where Russians can supposedly "get info about their loved ones who were killed or taken prisoner" which they use to elicit info from Russian mothers and wives of soldiers and demoralise them by describing how their loved ones are "in pieces" or "burned like charcoal" — while they don't check anything and just tell every woman that her husband or son is dead. They create dozens of fakes where they don't even bother to film anything themselves, they just forge the "Z" on the burned and destroyed tanks and armoured trucks and pretend these are the actual war footage. They endorse the harassment of Russian civilians abroad who clearly do not have anything to do with this war and may be even forced to leave Russia for the critique of Putin. They lie, lie again, and they keep on lying.
