@i6sepacho790 It does not have anything to do with imperialism per se, but ok - you do you, I do I. But Russia has no problems with France, as Mr. Makogonov well proved. Russian "imperialism" does not threaten France or your way of life, or any other NATO/EU country. So why do people even care? That's what surprises me.

@i6sepacho790 First of all, who are you guys to "let" or "not let" a sovereign country do as it seems fit? So what if it's an "independent and free country"? I would repeat my question to another person, as a French, would you be enthusiastic towards an "independent Provence" or "independent Picardie"? Putin was trying to avoid this war for 8 years, he was going to betray Russian interests and even give Donbass back to "the Ukraine". At the same time, NATO leaders, as they confessed themselves, were not even expecting that they and "the Ukraine" will respect the Minsk treaties. Instead, they used these 8 years to pump this travesty of a country choke full of weapons and clearly were planning a war.

Putin was trying to avoid the war for 8 years. When we tried to enter a Minsk agreement and Putin even tried to betray Russian interests and give Donbass back to the Ukraine, NATO leaders lied to our eyes and later they confessed that no one ever expected that the Ukraine would follow these agreements. They were just lying to Russia while preparing Ukrainian army and sending them weapons. NATO was preparing for war, not Russia. Speaking about "independent and free countries" ("independent Ukraine" is a good joke, but ok), I repeat: as a French, would you praise "independent Provence" or "sovereign Picardy" or "free Bretagne"?
