Alas, chemistry, not physics, Petroleum is not as volatile as most think, you need and explosion to rapidly disperse the liquid so it quickly becomes vapor, then you have a big boom, most of the petrol would have soon soaked the ground and from there it can not explode, try pouring fuel on sand alone, light it and see how fast it seems to go out, I have tried it, all you need is to kick the dirt and it will light again but you wont get and explosion, Fuel Station explosions are a series of small events that lead to catastrophic failure and a big boom, maybe if you had a bigger porta potty where more vapor could form and collect without venting you may have got a small boom. You need to watch more Mythbusters. Knew straight away it would not yield the result you desire, open door was your first mistake and it has a vent, without a remote ignition within a confined space, it will happily just burn, no Boom. It is called the stoichiometric mixture, you were nowhere near achieving it.
