  3. Quokkas, formerly named Ratsnest, then renamed Rottnest Island, because they thought it was infested with rats only to later discover they are the happy little cute critter, the Quokka. lol. Every year school leavers go to Rotto to party, the Island is set aside just for the leavers for a short period except the permanent residence of course, some dumb kids from time to time play a sick game known as "Quokka soccer" it is horrifying that these kids think it ok to kick these little guys around ultimately killing them. sorry for the horrible truth but it happens, otherwise, it is a beautiful Island just off the Perth coast, served as a military outpost with giant cannons. Quokkas are, as far as I know, still on mainland but rare, because of introduced predators like cats and foxes, they are protected from predators on Rotto so still thrive.
