  2. that is the Eucla border checkpoint, Wa's other checkpoint is up north at Kununurra, it is to check for contraband like fruit and vege, but nothing like say the Mexico border control. our borders are very strict on drugs of course but more so for controlling the spread of pests by motorists, obviously the trucks have to transport our produce but they follow strict protocols, if you go to a local market and buy a bag of apples in SA, you will not be allowed to bring them into WA.
