  2. at 25 million ppl we barely have enough fresh water to sustain our population now, the reason the outback and red centre isn't developed like the US is, there is no life support out there, no year round rivers, no shelter, we have one of the biggest aquifers in the world but we are reluctant to mess with it, and I agree we shouldn't mess with our ground water, the limited ecology of Aus relies on it.

  4. Yep Onslow just now beat the record, Mardie and Roebourne have previously topped 50, Marble Bar is also known as one of the hottest places, fun fact, there is no marble in Marble Bar, the settlers thought the rock was marble by its appearance but it is actually Jasper.
