  1. illustrates well, again, why Aus is so sparse in the centre, nothing really to support a large population, no rivers or resources to support life, then you have all the dangerous animals, though as we all know by now, the likelihood of encountering one is small, and even if you did, the chance of getting attacked by one is even smaller.
