During the Chinese Civil War, the Nationalist Kuomintang had massive wealth (they taxed peasants heavily) they had superior weapons and superior numbers over the communists, yet they still lost the mainland to dirt-poor, heavily outnumbered, ill-equipped, starving Communist peasants and had to flee to Taiwan? This demonstrates KMT's gross incompetence in their right to rule the mainland.
