  1. Before the 1997 handover, Hong Kong was British Colony, and the 1956 HK riots resulted in 59 deaths while the 1967 HK riots resulted in 51 deaths, all while under British colonial rule. Yet after the handover back to mainland China, today's 2019 HK riots resulted in zero deaths thus far, so aren't the HK police showing incredible restraint? Despite facing severe stress everyday, mental and physical fatigue after months of protests, and public humiliation by the crowds?
