  11. David Miller After 4-8 years, President Trump will be forced to step down, and he will no longer be the POTUS. Heck, if Trump's mid term election screw up, or something else happens in the meantime, he may not be POTUS anymore. You are looking short-term instead of long-term here.

And there is no guarantee that Trump's new bill and laws will remain after he steps down. What if the next POTUS starts reversing Trump's policies, and undoing all that hard work? US presidents can only make short-term plans spanning 4-8 years, because there is no guarantee that they will remain in power after their term ends. But China's political system is different. The government abolished the Chinese president term limit, so our leaders can remain in power to help see our long-term plans come to fruition. The CCP has made many 5-year plans, 10-year plans, 15-year plans, 20-year plans, 30-year plans, etc. to map out China's future and direction and to accomplish certain goals by 2020, 2030, 2040, 2050, etc. But where do you see US's future in 10 years time, after Trump steps down? Where do you see America in 20 years time? Your US leaders can't make long-term decisions (spanning more than 10 years) because they will be forced to step down eventually.

But its always good to plan for the future, and where is America's 5-year plans, 10-year plans, 15-year plans, 20-year plans and so on? Where does America see itself in 2020, 2030, 2040, 2050, etc? Even if Trump survived 10 years as POTUS, then what happens to in 20 years? Can't you see that constant US elections are not helping USA but hindering it? China has had no free elections, and yet we produced good leaders like Xi Jinping, Deng Xiaoping, etc, that have guided the country to success. Its because our CCP is expected to remain in power for the next 20-30 years, and therefore, able to make long term plans, instead of short term plans.
