  1.  @canman5060  Tyrant which rule China for 70 years? Hong Kong itself was under authoritarian British Colonial rule from 1841 to 1997 (a brief Japanese occupation from 1941 to 1945) and during which Hong Kong did not enjoy democracy and virtually no elections were held in Hong Kong during this period. Only after the Hong Kong handover to mainland China, did Hong Kong people finally hold regular elections, so isn't it thanks to China that Hong Kong citizens can vote in elections today?

Hong Kong is perhaps the most cyberpunk place in the world and throughout the 80s and 90s, has been prominently featured in tpopular and influential Cyberpunk films like Bladerunner and Ghost In the Shell (even though the latter is Japanese anime).
