  1. Nepal knows that if India and China do go to war over this territorial spat, then it will only suffer as it is forced to pick sides. If China goes to war, we know PLA troops are dying for territory claimed by China. If India goes to war, then Indian troops will be dying on foreign soil, that India itself does not claim at all.

The government is building roads there to serve as second path for Indian pilgrims travelling to Kailash and to possibly Lhasa in Tibet. The current route is extremely congested and unsafe and this new road will help ease congestion and make travel safer for Indian pilgrims travelling to Tibet. China has no interest in war with India. War would hurt our growing economies and destroy decades of progress here in Asia. King Mohan China sends PLA troops to Pakistan to defend our construction projects there. We have economic corridor initiative to help build infrastructure in Pakistan and to develop their economy. It's a significant investment, so the government is taking steps to protect our assets there in Pakistan from terrorists and possible sabotage.

Firstly, India does not claim Donglong/Doklam as part of India, so why send its troops there to die on foreign soil if war breaks out? Secondly, India's economy still growing, and war is extremely expensive affair. Rich country like USA can afford to have so many wars in Middle East, which estimated cost American taxpayers $3 trillion dollars to support war effort. But can India or China afford such a war breaking out in Asia, and costing us decades of progress? Lastly, while India and China are fighting, Pakistan may take this opportunity to expand while India is distracted, probably in disputed regions like Jammu and Kashmir. Can India afford to fight a war on more than one front? India won't gain Doklam for itself, and may possibly end up losing territory to Pakistan. The final note, is that both our nations are nuclear states, and a nuclear war will only decimate Asia and leave radioactive fallout that will plague Asia for generations, like Japanese cities bombed by USA that are still suffering aftereffects even till today. It is with these reasons why I imply that going to war is no good for both our countries.

  4. That sounds suspiciously like American soldiers, dying on foreign soil such as Vietnam and Korea. Today, even US troops are dying in Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya. Why are you interfering in wars outside of your country, on territories India doesn't claim for itself at all?
