Matt Hoehn If its "could have been" then how is North Korea missile a threat to China at all? So far, N. Korea has not launched any nukes, and its unlikely to ever do so (as it will be annihilated by countries including China) so do you really believe N. Korea's blustering?
How do you know that these toughest round of sanctions will would label anyone supporting the regime with similar sanctions? Like I keep saying, China has been supporting N. Korea for many years already, yet other countries still continue to do business with China, despite China aiding N. Korea. So why do you keep insisting that China will become isolated because of N. Korea, when there hasn't been any proof of that so far?
Even if China decides not to follow the latest sanctions, what makes you think other countries will completely cut off trade with China, given that China is biggest trading partner in many of these countries? Will they risk their own economies for the sake of China not upholding sanctions?
Like I said early, the China followed the UN sanctions because China wanted to punish North Korean missile testing during the 2017 BRICS summit held in Xiamen, China, which China perceives as North Korean defiance against China. The UN sanctions were agreed upon by UN, not USA alone, so what has Trump got to do with this then, except taking credit for China's efforts?
