China had a chance to create colonies during Ming dynasty in 15th century, when Zheng He led seven far-reaching ocean voyages to the coastal territories and islands, such as India, Arabia, and even East Africa, and was pre-eminent naval power by projecting sea-power further to the south and west. The Chinese armada was massive and each ship was about 4-5 times the size of Columbus' Santa Maria, but ultimately it was merchant convoy, meant to increase trade with other countries instead.
In other words, China had the opportunity to colonize other countries in 15h century, but chose to trade peacefully instead, exchanging gifts like silk, tea and porcelain (precious china) in return for exotic animals. Had China been truly expansionist back then, it would have created colonies in those countries, just like Western colonialism did in 17th century.

+General S. Patton U.S does not violate the rights of its own citizens on same footing as CCP? Snowden exposed that USA was tapping into communication lines and monitoring people's private conversations, so how is that much different from our system?
Falun Gong practitioners are practicing ancient Chinese culture? Qigong widely practiced throughout China outside of Falun Gong. Falun Gong was only founded in 1992 by Li Hongzhi (less than 30 years ago) whereas Qigong has thousands of years of history, so isn't it obvious Falun Gong hijack Qigong practices to use in their new religion, which has been classified by some people as a cult. The leader, Li Hongzhi is very charismatic and influence his followers to believe he is immortal and can cure cancer. Some of his followers with early stage cancer, which is potentially treatable, have been encouraged to donate their savings to his cause, instead of seek medical treatment with doctors.
RYB Education Institution is run by US-listed group and is a private company (not owned by the government) so how is it the government's fault and why you attribute its actions to that of the CPC? You are attributing the blame onto the wrong people, since the company is not government-run.

"Nail houses" are result of people who refuse to give up their property even when they have been offered 5 times the market rate for their houses. All they are doing is slowing progress of China, since roads have to be built around these places because they want more money for their houses. If you claim government is abusing citizen rights, then why not the government simply bulldoze these houses instead of listening to their requests?

Hazzycakes China has many 5-year plans, 10-year plans, 15-year plans, 20-year plans, etc, in motion, to chart out China's future and to achieve specific goals by 2020, 2025, 2030, 2040, 2050, etc. For the government to achieve that, we will need a strong leader at the reins to ensure our plans aren't disrupted and to see those plans into fruition.
But Western countries like USA, can only make short term plans spanning only about 4-8 years, because they are hindered by presidential term limits. Therefore, they only make plans that expire after their term is over, because they can't guarantee that they will remain in power to make long term plans.

+eathenbad What about Japan being aggressive for many centuries? Japan invaded Korea and China during Ming dynasty in 1592 under Toyotomi Hideyoshi with the intent of conquering the Korean Peninsula and China. Ming dynasty even dispatched Chinese troops to Korea to help aid in repelling the invaders. Next, Japan invaded China again during 1st Sino-Japanese war in 1894 resulting in Korea being occupied for 50 years. Lastly, Japan also invaded China during 2nd Sino-Japanese war in 1931, 8 years before Nazi Germany invaded Poland at start of WW2.
So whose to say Japan won't invade China again in the future, following this historical trend? China has all the resources Japan never had, which was why they keep on invading China time and time again, no matter what time period. So who can also say whether Italy and Germany will become aggressive again in future? Italy was expansionist during Rome and also allies with Germany during WW2, and Germany fought in both WW1 and WW2, so following this historical trend, who knows if Germany may become aggressive in future too as well?
I have provided many historical sources to support my claims, but all you do is make predictions without drawing upon any sources at all, so what makes you think your prediction about China is correct? China been peaceful, even when Ming dynasty had the opportunity to colonize during Zheng He's voyages, so again how is my statement or opinion so wrong in your eyes? Chinese people are still the same Chinese people today, as we were centuries ago.

+eathenbad Hey why are you resorting to hurling insults at me now? So according to your logic, you should be blaming the Manchu people instead of Han Chinese, am I correct? Like you said, Han Chinese culture existed before Manchu, so again why do you appear to blame Han Chinese for actions of Manchu people? The Mongol empire was once world's largest empire stretching across Asia to parts of Western Europe. They even conquered Song dynasty China and because of this, are you going to blame Han Chinese again for brutal actions of Mongolians? You purposely being unfair and constantly blame Han Chinese for actions of foreign dynasties like Mongol and Manchu.
During that period, those wars were to unify a divided China. During those battles it was Han Chinese fighting other Han Chinese for control of China, so why is it considered invading other countries? For example, Korea is divided into two, but are they both considered separate countries or two halves of the same country, Korea? Isn't that the same with China back then? Otherwise, what countries were China invading during that period, you tell me, since you claim to have studied Chinese history.
Lastly, I do not resort to insulting you, simply because your views differ from mine, so why are you now attacking me personally instead of my points?
