@kyleselby3196 now I suspect that you have suckled hard on the teet of some liberal arts college so you probably got some fancy distinctions defined here...but for us in the real world, race and ethnicity is pretty close. Maybe white is a race but ethnicity is some division of that. So white British (me) is different from white slavic....or something like that...but in general terms, just like sex and gender, the words race and ethnicity are pretty much the same... now you do some homework and read the MIT news website article about AI seeing race or ethnicity in x-rays and scans....and then tell me it is just a social construct.

@mrt094 good point. Look at UK data on exam results aged 16 (we call them GCSE exams). Data shows differences between Black African and Black Caribbean...in the UK that generally means recent (1st or 2nd generation) african migrants compared with probably 3rd generation carribean migrants...recent African migrants do a lot better....family structure, values (probably Christianity) seem to be factors which come into play... basically if one does what Asian (eapeccly India and chinese) and Jewish migrants have traditionally done, and you get the kind of results that set them apart...

@kyleselby3196 AI can discern different ethnicity (self-declared) from anonymous x-rays and scans. Humans can't. AI learnt an algorithm that finds biological differences between ethnicity despite your spectrum and diversity ideas.
