  1. Jim, I think many of us who watch this channel and Simon's channel abhor racism. But in making your comment you show exactly the kind of reaction which Simon and many of us find ridiculous. You find racism where there is none, then take offence and fail to engage in the debate... Around 2:00 Simon says something like " they portrayed the queen as a black woman WHICH is really grotesque"... ie. He finds the factually incorrect portrayal of the queen as a grotesque distortion of the truth.... he did not say SHE was grotesque.... sadly you stopped listening then. Had you continued you would have heard Simon use the same phrase "which is grotesque" when describing how teachers use clips from Blackadder to illustrate WW1 in history lessons. Again, it is the distortion of the truth that he finds grotesque, not the actor. Now, may I ask that you get down from your high horse and listen carefully to the whole interview. There are subtitles if you are hard of hearing. They are auto generated so sometimes wrong, but on the 2 occasions I quoted they matched my hearing. Best wishes for a happy Sunday evening.

  2. You are truly a victim of modern society...what difference do credentials make when he is merely talking about facts which are readily verified.... you look to credentials and experts so that you don't have to think.... you can do better.

  4. Did the Romans extend to subsaharan Africa?? You need to remember that North Africa was populated by Mediterranean ethnic populations, very unlikely to be black.
