  1. If you have recently discovered the Fabian Society, you might want to study a movie written by a former Fabian, H.G. Wells. The movie was released before WW2 and is called "Things to come". It portrays a modern feeling society brought to a civilisation-ending war and how a supra -national organisation goes about recreating a perfect society. One envoy from this supranational body lands amongst a small region which is waging war against a neighbouring region. They are portrayed as "little englanders" who should simply give up their sovereignty...their leader and the envoy argue leading to the envoy saying "we don't believe in independent sovereign states"....and he proceeds to call in his organisation which drops the "gas of peace" onto the little englanders and they are subsumed into the supranational global organisation...
