Same thing happened to me. I'm Irish traveller. I went to college while everyone from my community got married at 16-18. I'm seen as an outcast just for pursuing education. Meanwhile non-travellers see me as an outcast as well since I come from a ethnic minority. It's like being half-caste before, where you feel like you are stuck between two groups, but belong in neither. Then you realise that you are human like everyone else and that's all that matters.

As an Irish person I'm glad we aren't in NATO. We should focus on our own independence first

@zviadara British have invaded 800 years ago and still haven't left. They destroyed our language and starved a million of us to death. Why would we fear Russians as neighbors when we are still occupied by our nearest neighbour?

@zviadara True, but if you look at the past history of both Russia and Britain, Britain is much much worse. You probably live in the privileged 10% of countries that was never invaded by them so you don't get it. We had a famine while the British was stealing our food (grain, wheat, oats, beef etc ) and they starved 10% of our population to death (1 million) that's equal to the percentage of Russians Stalin starved go death. Many of our towns were wiped out and most civilians massacred. Any Irish speaking Irish were killed and our native language never recovered. We had no rights as Catholics or Irish. There soldiers would shoot into unarmed protestors. Ireland is only one country. Around 150 countries were invaded by Britain.

@United-Nations There are Irish Travelers not gypsies. The fact that you label them gypsies shows how ignorant you are of the ethnic group. I'm an Irish traveler and I can tell you, we are Irish people who copied gypsy lifestyle after losing our land to the British, while gypsies that from other European countries are Romani descent originally from India.

@mariovallanzasca9454 Have you no experience meeting gypsies who have integrated into society. You have had some bad experiences and want to label it to all gypsies regardless of the individual person. Imagine I went to the Dominican Republic and got robbed by blacks and decided all blacks are thieves. It's just blatant generalisations.
