Deaths in New York are down.... Now... However, if you look at deaths per capita by state. NY hasn't exactly faired that well compared to the rest of the country. One could easily argue that the overall infections are down because NY already experienced the largest waves in the country so a large part of its population has already been infected with Covid.

@ismeal231 Maybe. My point is that it's hard to make a blanket statement about why NY is doing well, now. A lot of states have gone through periods of low infections followed by spikes at different times. Especially when Emma was only quoting a single day of deaths which is misleading. During the past couple weeks Florida has had even fewer deaths than NY.

@peterstafford4426 Yes there is a culture war, but most of it is complete BS. if you spend your life arguing from a position of "culture war" instead of the facts, then eventually you become the very thing you say you're fighting against. This past year I've seen people on the left become much more authoritarian than I've seen in a really long time and when you have authoritarians on both sides, the country becomes a pretty scary place.
