Geez Emma, not everyone lives in a major city to take public transportation.... 🤦‍♂ I've disliked Elon Musk's BS tactics for years now, but focusing on an accident causing a few injuries when over a hundred people died that day in "normal "car accidents is kind of silly to me. Accidents like this literally happen every single day in this country. It is so normalized that people dying in this way never even makes the news. More than *45,000 people die in car accidents each year*. The potential for self driving cars is to eventually save thousands of lives, by eliminating human error, people being tired or intoxicated behind the wheel. Of course there will be hiccups along the way, but there is no way to actually fix those problems without doing testing on actual roads. In some places creating a shuttle system with existing roads and infrastructure would be a lot easier and cheaper than a rail system. Especially in places with mountains, lots of residential property, etc. etc.
