@RojirigoD To be fair being being an "anti-war pacifist" is the exact impression she wanted to give during the primaries. So it is not entirely "selective hearing" on the part of progressives it was exactly what she wanted to emphasize in order to tap into that movement. It's exactly the same with healthcare where she initially supported Medicare for All, then decided to change that to "Medicare Choice".

@RojirigoD Yes, but most people learned about her and got to know her during her presidential run, when she got a lot of airtime and appeared on many shows. Just like many people didn't know much about Bernie Sanders before 2016. So my point is that during the campaign is when she emphasized being against "regime change wars" repeatedly and that's when a lot of "progressives" started learning about her and forming their opinion of her. Before that no one cared about her nationally.

@Hoopla10 I think you're describing naivety in general which has been circulating around political circles for quite awhile. Especially with all the MAGA, Q-anon, etc. nonsense that has been so pervasive. Then you have people like Dore, Hannity, Rubin, Tucker, etc. who capitalize on dissent and division for their own grift. I would go a step further. I think people need to stop affiliating with parties in general. Political parties have been far more "malleable" than these political terms. As soon as people align with a tribe or a label, then it motivates people to affiliate with some other tribe or label. It's all total nonsense and becomes as meaningless as a collage football game. This is also why it is futile to believe in 3rd parties.
