Somehow AJW knows the magic formula for all policing across the country. He's also professor Xavier and can read the hearts and minds of police officers all over the country and how they all behaved when their fee-fees were hurt by protests.

@jesseozmen9835 I got different things from different parts and I also commented on those parts. However all throughout he repeatedly made claims about how police officers "felt" because of George Floyd protests and how those feelings impacted their work.

It's literally common knowledge the poverty + population density correlate directly to crime. The fact that different minority groups have different rates of crime is irrelevant to the overall driver of crime. There are also studies that have clearly shown black children start to see themselves as "bad" at a very early age simply because of how black people are perceived in that society. So while he might be correct that culture can effect crime, he seems incapable of understanding that the "culture" he's referring to is also based on forces that have been acting on those communities for generations and not just the communities themselves.

1:05:50 Dude literally just said that punishment for shop lifters should be harsher just to turns around and say that "the criminal justice system isn't a strong deterrent for crime".

@TheSchaef47 So you somehow think that all cops everywhere got cinder blocks dropped on their head?

The idea that crime can be magically reduced by "seasoned investigators", "moral of officers", "sentiment" and the other arbitrary BS metrics this guy is pulling out of his ass as an argument is absurd. Crime is far more correlated to economic conditions. During the lockdowns, economic conditions were bad. Now economic conditions are good. Pretty easy to figure out dude.

48:20 Drug arrests make up like a quarter of all arrests nationwide WTF does he think it's a "small number"?

@TheSchaef47 Then don't make dumb arguments then. We're talking about national trends in policing and crime and for some reason you decide to bring up a silly anecdote. The only case of which I could find happened before the George Floyd protests. Either way there is no national trend of "cinder blocks being dropped on police officers" that is impacting policing or crime.

@TheSchaef47 I was repeating AJW's argument who said throughout this discussion that the emotions of cops being criticized is what led to less effective policing. Maybe you didn't watch the video or maybe you just didn't understand the point. However now you're pretending the argument was about something else. Sorry, but it was not property damage or officers injured in a specific fire. I could also do a switch or create a straw man and pretend my argument is about killing, injuring, and jailing innocent black people, but that would be me doing the same dumb thing you're doing right now.

@deus_vult8111 And when Sam points out that the staffing levels are still higher than they were in 2019 AJW pivots to something else.

@wyssmaster Again, poverty + population density. Yes a group of people in the middle of nowhere in Montana is not going to commit much crime, just a like a tribe in the middle of rural Kenya is not. Everywhere in the world where you have densely populated poor people, you have high levels of crime. Can you find exceptions to that? Probably, but those exceptions would be extremely rare. And it's funny how AJW was shown several examples where police staffing levels, funding levels, and incarceration rates did not correlate and he immediately shifted to something else.

@wyssmaster It's only racist if you're making a racist point. Yes you only prove that when confronted with actual data AJW resorts to making things up about "quality of officers". Which was never established as a data point anywhere. He just made it up as an excuse. WTF do you mean by "soft on crime"? How are you measuring "softness" 😂 I like how people make things up in their minds and act like it's an real argument.
