There is certainly a lot of waste in government, however most people don't realize that there is also A TON of waste in the private sector... I've seen people waste millions of dollars on nothing more than corporate politics and complete incompetence. Showing that you're spending money becomes more important than doing a good job for your clients. Venture Capital and speculation are just other words for gambling, however when your "investment" goes down the toilet no one complains about waste just like no one brags about losing a lot of money playing black jack. Capitalism is the few winners telling the story about the "american dream" while the many losers stay silent in the shadows.
