I felt the same thing on their stance on the term "Latinx".... Just because a term isn't popular doesn't mean it's not a valid term for some people in a certain context. And it's been pretty frustrating that TYT doesn't actually get that. It doesn't mean you need to force terminology down people's throats. But to immediately dismissive of something that is beneficial to a minority, just because of poll or because right wingers might make fun of you, is "weak" IMO... It's honestly no different than what establishment Democrats have done on almost every issue for decades.

@SAce-fo7pg What "they" are you talking about exactly? As if groups of people are just a monolith.... If you're non-binary and of Latin American descent you probably don't want to be called Latino or Latina. However if you think all Latin American from every country and culture are exactly the same them sure... "They find it disrespectful" 🙄 If I called most Americans "trans" it would also be disrespectful, especially if I did that poll 20 years ago. It doesn't make the term itself invalid.

@SAce-fo7pg It's not a battle to acknowledge that some people may use a term in a certain context. Learn to have an open mind.
