  1. Nolan was trying to show the perspective of Oppenheimer who wouldn't have seen the devastation that happened to Hiroshima and Nagasaki until much later. He also did talk about returning the land to the native Americans at the end of the movie, so that was mentioned. I think it's a matter of people wanting certain messages to be in the film when it's impossible to convey everything that people would want in a single movie.
