To me it seems that both vaxxers and anti-vaxxers are choosing a hill to die on. At some point we're going to have to just let people take their own risk with being unvaccinated. Yes there is a tiny percentage of immunocompromised people, but is that really who the vaccine mandates are for? Not really. Vaccinated people can still transmit the virus, just slightly less so and for a shorter amount of time. The main reason for the mandates has always been to get as many people vaccinated as possible. So you really have to figure out if these constant battles are really worth it. Covid is pretty much here to stay, eventually the entire population is going to get infected with it at some point. Vaccines will reduce your symptoms and keep you from dying (for the most part), but it's not going to stop it forever.

@the-renegade Nope... We have masks, vaccines, and treatments to slow the spread and keep hospitals from getting completely overrun, but we need to face reality and realize that all we can do is slow the spread and keep symptoms at a minimum. The fact is Covid has already been running it's course whether we like it or not. People are going to spread the Delta and Mu variants regardless of their vaccination status. The people who have stronger resistance against the variants are the people who already caught Covid and generated long lasting memory B cells. This is why several countries have started lifting restrictions and started moving towards mitigating symptoms. This one basketball player isn't somehow the reason why Covid is still circulating all around the world. Shaming public figures that don't want to get vaccinated really isn't actually helping anything at this point.
