War sucks.... But I agree with the caller. We only have two choices, support Ukraine or not. It is entirely pointless for the US public to have a "conversation" about "Ukrainian borders" when the average citizen doesn't know or care about Ukrainian borders. Nor would having an open conversation about borders resolve any conflict here. The bottom line is Putin is going to take as much territory as he can get and Ukraine is going to keep as much as they can. Pretending that some fake media conversation is going to magically work towards peace is kind of naïve and usually Sam isn't this naïve. Nor is it helpful in any way to have an open conversation on whether we are willing nuke Moscow or not. We have elected representatives for a reason and that representation may not work out for things like Yemen and Iraq, but this is how it's supposed to work.

Regime change, nuking Moscow,, "defeating Russia" are all pointless topics of conversation Sam. If the US had an official stance on any of those things it would only be counterproductive. You're acting as if a war (we didn't start) has a recipe we can follow to create a specific outcome and if US officials openly talk about "getting rid of Putin" it will make the situation better. It's absurd. We have a representative democracy for a reason. Yes it sucks at times (Iraq, Yemen, etc.), but that's how the system is designed.
