Have these conversations with Jewish Zionists online all the time. They are so conditioned into the mindset of a Jewish state as a safe haven, but can't in any measurable way demonstrate how the state of Israel has made Jews safer. They talk about how Arabs are against them and terrorism from Palestinians without any self awareness of how that undermines the idea of the state of Israel making Jews safer. Antisemitic hate crimes exist in the US, but it isn't anywhere near the deadly attacks and constant threat has existed in Israel for 75 years. If Israel had offered Palestinians citizenship decades ago, there wouldn't be a Hamas today. Even if not all Palestinians became Israelis you would delegitimize the reason for terrorism to exist.
