  1. The Civil Rights movement and Evangelicals completely shifted the Republican Party in a short amount of time. We can easily do that in the Democratic Party if you keep you eye on the prize. Work within power to change power. Work outside of power and you have no leverage to change anything.

  2. 1. The place to challenge that choice is in the primaries. 2. The democratic leadership bases their choices far more on "who is" voting for then not "who isn't". Not voting doesn't really factor into their decision making one bit. Bernie Sanders was able to shift the narrative in the Democratic Party because he got votes. 3. You're not removing or adding any power by not voting. The party who wins has power, period. 4. Again, the place to challenge establishment Dems empowering Trump is in the primary. Not voting doesn't magically do this. 5. Voting Green or Libertarian is the same as not voting. There is a reason why there hasn't been a viable 3rd party in nearly 200 years. To change power you have to work within the power structures that are in place
