@TrollinOn22s No one should "get infected". However if you HAVE ALREADY BEEN infected, as millions in this country have been, then you don't need vaccination from a disease that you've already built an immunity to. IF you HAVE NOT BEEN infected, then you should get vaccinated to prevent getting Covid and possibly being hospitalized for it. I don't get why this is hard to understand or why people have decided to put themselves into "vaccination camps" and "anti-vaccination camps". As if there is no room for nuance or following actual science.

@TrollinOn22s It's called acknowledging the reality of natural immunity. It doesn't mean everyone should get infected Genius. All vaccination does is simulate an infection so that you can produce an immune response. We wouldn't have vaccines to begin with if it weren't for the body's ability to do this.

@nutznchocolates56 Because the reality is... Without mainstream acceptance it isn't real nor will it become part of public policy. Even though these studies have been saying pretty much the same thing for over a year now.

@WhyNotTruth And there is a far bigger reduction of hospitalizations when you have natural immunity. More vaccinated people are getting breakthrough cases than people who are naturally immune.

@ashkebora7262 Umm... It IS news when the CDC issued a statement two weeks ago saying that natural immunity doesn't offer as much protection as vaccination. They literally claimed that vaccination was twice as effective as natural immunity based on a tiny study of just a couple hundreds people in Kentucky. A study where they used name matching logic and didn't even provide details on how sick people got.

I've known this for a long time... This is only one study out of at least a dozen studies around the world that show the same thing. Study after study has shown that after being infected with Covid, the immunity is long lasting. All a vaccination does is simulate an infection so that your body can build an immunity to it. So the idea that natural immunity wouldn't be as effective or more effective is nonsensical, if the body's immune system doesn't work then vaccination should also not work, but for some reason the lie that somehow vaccines are more effective is being perpetuated by the CDC. OBVIOUSLY vaccination is far better than contracting Covid, so people SHOULD be tested for antibodies if they don't want to take the vaccine. However this push for vaccination and booster shots is obviously based on influence by pharmaceutical companies and the fear that people won't get vaccinated if they know the truth.
